There was nothing terribly remarkable about today's ride. It rained lightly off and on for the first half of the day. I never put on a jacket, but I did slip on arm warmers and I was fine. Other than that, it was a quite pleasant day and I logged another 74.5 miles. Libby, Montana, was the only town I rode through today.

I've been meaning to mention to everyone that you are welcome to share this blog with friends and relatives who might be interested. I wouldn't blast it out to everyone in your Contacts, but it is fine to share it as you see fit. All I ask is that it not be posted on Facebook or Instagram. And now some pictures and I'll call it day...

I saw this driveway "quilt" decoration relatively early in the day and I thought it was nice.

Upon arrival in Libby, Montana, I noticed this cool wood carving of a dragon. "Let's Fly!" is good advice for a cyclist.

A bit past Libby, I was on Jennings Old Haul Road and I had ridden up a pretty good hill so that I was looking down a steep hillside at the Kootenai River. There in the top of a dead tree was an osprey nest with mom, dad, and two teenagers. I think three of the four birds were on the nest for this picture.

The Libby Dam dams up the Kootenai River to create Lake Koocanusa, which as you can tell by the name, extends beyond the border into Canada.

White roadside crosses along Montana highways mark past highway fatalities. Each cross represents one fatality. Most are plain white on a red post as above.

This three-person cross was adorned with the names of the deceased, as well as flowers, cartoon animals, and lights. We drove by it at night and there were multi-colored flashing lights.
